Deploy UX

UX strategies and interface.

Overview

Deploy UX is a UX/UI consultancy agency. While working there, I had the opportunity to collaborate with several clients. I'll share here my work with Coliiv.

Coliiv is a platform that helps users find a home or a flatmate. Their primary goal was to ensure accurate matches, so they developed a detailed form to gather necessary information.

Our challenge was to increase the number of users filling the form to improve match accuracy. I selected this metric based on our stakeholders' main objective: achieving precise matches for individuals seeking coliving arrangements.

Interviews

After aligning with the stakeholders the expectations for the platform, I started running one-to-one interviews with six platform users. We gathered all the user interviews information on an affinity diagram board to group the common problems. We went further to a workshop with stakeholders to define the main issues on the user journey.

Persona

Problem Diagnoses

- Filters don't work correctly, making users to give up browsing in the platform

- The recommended profiles didn't match the user's preference description, causing frustration and irritation when receiving uninteresting content

- Lack of physical and financial security in experiences outside Coliiv that they would like not to repeat

Problem Diagnoses

With the main problems defined, our team went further to the ideation stage, brainstorming to find solutions. Some solutions that came out the brainstorm were:

- Reward to encourage the users to fill the forms, by unblocking some features for free

- Profile verification and add report buttons to increase security

- Optional Coliiv residential insurance to keep the lessor free of a hassle; this feature is sold separately from the plans offered.

Prototyping

Working collaboratively with the Lead UI Designer, we developed the interface for Coliiv's website. All decisions made creating the new screens were based on research and also on the Heuristics Evaluation.
